The Bancroft Community Airport was created in 1963 with the incorporation of the Bancroft Flying Club (BFC), a non-profit organization with a mandate to promote aviation and air transportation in the region. The airport also honours the name of Bancroft Reeve Jack Brown who was instrumental in its creation. The Bancroft Flying Club owns and operates the Bancroft Community Airport located just minutes away (2.6 km) from the town of Bancroft, Ontario, Canada. The Airport is located in North Hastings County just a short drive from Algonquin Park and surrounded by many lakes in the heart of “Cottage Country.”
